Welcome to your organizations CONTACTS!  From here you can create new contacts, search for specific contacts, filter by type of contacts and more!

CONTACTS TAB



Clicking CONTACTS will show all your contacts.  Hovering over the CONTACTS tab will also provide other options like quick access to search for or add a new contact, a list of recently viewed contacts, and filters for different contact types.



CONTACT BASIC INFO


Here you will find basic information for a specific contact, like their name, nickname, gender, birthday, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, social media links, tags, notes, and additional controls. 




RECORDED CHANGES/DO NOT CONTACT



Clicking on these three dots will open the Basic Info Menu with a variety of options.  

HISTORY

The History here will show changes made to the Basic Info Contact page.  This will not track any communications with this contact.  That information can be found in the Unified Timeline in the Profile Bar. Go HERE to view the Profile Bar article. 


TELEPORT
Teleport allows you to jump to the Front End dashboard as the contact in question. This is typically used to troubleshoot or assist contacts using the system.

Designating someone as Do Not Contact will remove all phone, text and email links from this contact.


DECEASED
When you mark a contact as deceased you will be given the option to set a deceased date or skip this. When a contact is marked as Deceased they are also marked as Do Not Contact. 


DELETE CONTACT 
Deleting a contact will hide them from searches and lists, remove them from all groups and disconnect all of their relationships, associations & subsidiaries.

Deleted contacts can still be accessed directly in the system and will show a deletion message along the top of the profile. Deleted contacts can be restored from the profile page or the Contact Basic Info Menu.

Some contacts cannot be deleted. Contacts with financial history must remain visible in the system. If you attempt to delete a contact with financial history the system will inform you that this cannot be done and why.


PROFILE BAR


This handy bar can be found on any page within the contacts profile pages.  Go HERE to learn more about the features within the Profile Bar. 



CALL, TEXT OR EMAIL ICONS


Call, text or email someone directly from their Contact page by using these icons!  Keeping in touch with people has never been so easy. 


Note that all texts and emails will be sent from the your Stellar account, so these communications will show up in your Unified Timeline.  To find this, see the section above on Profile Bar


 


PHONE AND ADDRESSES ICONS



Use these icons to change what type of phone number or address belongs to a contact, see history of changes to these fields or delete addresses or phone numbers. SMS messages can only be sent to a cell phone. 




Link to your Contacts Social Media right from Stellar!  Website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram available.  If a link it stored, the icon becomes blue.  If no link is stored, then it will remain greyed out.



To edit any of these, just click on any Social Media Icon and the following will appear. 




TAGS



Within Stellar, easily create tags to be used for a single contact or as a way to categorize groups of contacts. 


To CREATE a new tag, simply enter your tag name in the text field.  As soon as you hit enter, an overlay window will appear on the right with more options for your tag.  From here you can edit the name of your tag, select the color, enter a description, select a privacy option and add personnel who may edit this tag.  You can also Delete Tags. 



To ADD an existing tag to this contact, click the TAG icon as seen below. This will bring up an overlay window with the option to select from already existing tags. 



To EDIT an existing tag, simply click on the TAG and it will bring up the following window.  From there you can EDIT TAG and if you have privileges to Edit, then it will let you do so. 


To see all contacts, events, groups, registrations or transactions associated with a particular TAG, click on the tag from a contacts profile page to see all this data. 


To view all public/tags you are able to view, click on ADVANCED and then TAGS. From here you can click on a particular tab to see the Tag Results or you can edit the tags. 




NOTES


Notes can be found at the bottom of any page within the Contact pages. Notes can be created and seen by anyone in your organization on the backend of Stellar. Contacts cannot see notes you create here. 



You can edit or delete notes you have created by hovering your mouse on the little blue box to the left of the note. SuperAdmins can edit or delete any notes for your organization.
